"You might," Ren says, looking her over. She's slim but powerful, built in a way that belies just how strong she is. She looks graceful like a dancer might be and if he hadn't known how she'd grown up hard-scrabble in the deserts of Jakku, he'd think she was meant for something more delicate and finessed than the life she's had.
He could have had a life like that, if his uncle hadn't ruined it. He could have grown up one of the last Jedi Knights and made his parents proud.
